How do I obtain a username and password to access the Self-Sufficiency Calculator?

Anyone interested in using the Calculator must register and attend a free training. For individual training information, including dates/times and registration please look at the calendar of events on our website and sign up by calling 716-847-1120. After attending a training session a username and password will be E-Mailed to you. For a group or agency training please contact Ivy Diggs-Washington at Everywoman Opportunity Center, Inc. 716-847-1120.

Are there any special computer software and/or hardware needed to access the Calculator?

Yes, for software you will need at least Internet Explorer version 6.0 or Netscape version 7.0. Also some of the information and pages are in .pdf format; you will need Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader version 8.0+. The Adobe Reader software is available free and can be downloaded here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

The Self-Sufficiency Calculator utilizes pop-up windows to display various types of information, please disable any pop-up blockers if you are using them.

There is no special hardware needed to access the calculator, but you do need an Internet connection. (High speed access is recommended)

I'm interested in working with a Counselor to see how the Calculator can help me become self-sufficient, what should I do?

Contact Everywoman Opportunity Center, Inc or one of the other 60 plus agencies listed here who have trained staff that can provide you with support and access to the Calculator. Please call to schedule an appointment with a Counselor, there are two Everywoman offices for your convenience.
